Experience and service

I’ve worked in federal information management and information technology since 2009. At Transport Canada, my work includes business analysis, data platforms and digital tools that support public services.

My union involvement spans workplace, regional and national responsibilities. I currently serve as:

  • Treasurer and Member-at-Large, PIPSC NCR Regional Executive
  • Member-at-Large, PIPSC IT Group National Executive
  • Vice-President, IT Ottawa-Metro Sub-Group
  • Member, IT Group Bargaining Team
  • President, Transport Canada NCR Branch, until the close of its October 14, 2026 AGM

I created Union 101 and the Union Ecosystem Atlas to make union structures, rights and participation easier to understand. Both resources are available in English and French.

My writing has appeared in The Hill Times and the Ottawa Citizen, exploring public services, transit, technology and how productivity gains can improve everyday life.

My focus is practical: better working conditions, stronger purchasing power and a union that earns participation through useful work and measurable results. Those improvements strengthen communities and expand opportunities for everyone.

This website reflects my personal views, not official positions of my employer or PIPSC.

What I write about

01

Working conditions

Work should leave room for a life beyond it. I look at the choices that affect our time, our workplaces and our purchasing power.

02

Public services

Transit, health care and the public service shape daily life. The details of how they work deserve serious attention.

03

Member participation

A clearer understanding of how a union works helps members take part. Education is part of making that participation meaningful.
